Context
The Council’s website documents UAE–India trade developments, holds its policy research and keeps an archive of its events, for stakeholders in both countries.
The content is dense and institutional. The brief asked for a site that could carry it without feeling heavy.
My role
What I did
- I redesigned and rebuilt the whole site on my own: structure, visual design and development in WordPress.
What the team did
- The Council team supplied the content.
Approach
- A restrained type system and a muted palette, so long reports and updates stay easy to read.
- A structure built for finding things: Resources for reports and newsletters, Events with a dated card for each event, and pages such as About the Council and UAE Economic Overview.
- Pages work on desktop and mobile.
Outcome
- The Council’s first website was unveiled at its official launch on 10 January 2024, at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. I redesigned and rebuilt it; my version has been live since June 2024 and is the one online today.
